According to the different position of the motor and the drum, it has four types:
- The electric hoist with the motor axis perpendicular to the reel axis adopts the worm gear transmission device, the width dimension is large, the structure is bulky, the mechanical efficiency is low, the processing is more difficult, and there is no manufacturer to produce this structural type of product.
- The motor axis is parallel to the axis of the reel of the electric hoist, which has the advantage of small height and length. Its disadvantages are large width size, grouping, complex manufacturing and assembly, and large turning radius of track.
- The electric hoist with the motor installed in the reel has the advantages of small length and compact structure. Its main disadvantages are poor motor heat dissipation conditions, poor grouping, inconvenient inspection, installation and maintenance of motor, and complicated power supply device.
- The electric hoist with the motor mounted on the outside of the drum has the advantages of good grouping, high degree of generalization, easy to change the lifting height, and convenient installation and maintenance. Its disadvantage is the large length size.
How does the electric hoist work?
